Text matters! It is easy to get caught up on the design aspect and color schemes, and forget about the content. No matter how high-level and complex your graphics are, how organized your layout is, if you don't have content, users will quickly leave your site and never come back. Text loads quicker than any graphics on any page. While your images are loading, your visitors will pay close attention to your text. Your visitors will rely on the text you provide, which makes it critical.
Let's start with the font. The size and color of your font can have a great impact on your visitor's eyes. The font shouldn't be too small, or too big, not too bright, not too dark, just easy on the eyes!
When emphasizing, bigger font size notes importance, as well as bolding, however, you should avoid underlining at all costs. When text is underlined, it usually means it is a hyperlink. Don't confuse your visitors!
Centering text is good when there isn't much text, but if you want your visitors to read your content, keep it indented to the left, just like this page. It is organized, and easy to read. Centered text is difficult to read. Use it only when you want to catch the users attention!
When choosing colors, keep in mind the same rule as graphics: consistency. We want to uniform the text. Keep body text all one color, headlines same color, etc. And remember, keeping it simple! I do not provide the content for your web site. This is up to you, especially since no one knows your business better than you! However, I will go through your content and assist in text optimization, determine your keywords and how they should be used, etc.
